Akalani is one of the best contemporary Mexican architecture projects at Lake Chapala today. It is located on the slopes of Chapinaya Hill, within Tres Cañadas, the most exclusive subdivision in Ajijic. Situated at the top of a ravine, the view unleashes a sense of unparalleled freedom. Time stops, and one breathes in unity with nature. The cobblestone streets, and the massive walls of the facades, connected to the streets through courtyards or zaguanes (traditional entryways), serve this purpose.

 

DESIGN
  • AKALANI is an exclusive residential development located in the private subdivision Tres Cañadas in AJIJIC, Magical Town of Jalisco.

 ECOLOGICAL
  • ZERO CARBON EMISSIONS Akalani is free of gas. Gas installations and equipment were removed, so in addition to the ecological theme, we guarantee that there are no possibilities for leaks and explosions for all residents.
  • SOLAR ELECTRICITY GENERATION. All houses will have the latest generation of photovoltaic panels.
  • WASTEWATER TREATMENT Rainwater is separated from sewage water. The rainwater is channeled to natural channels to reach the lake and sewage water is treated in individual biodigesters in each house, thus eliminating contaminating systems of the subsoil.
  • SOLAR HEATERS Each residence will have a solar calculator for independent use in their bathrooms, thus being able to use the sun and save on private energy.
  • PERMEABLE SURFACES The cobbled streets and the floors of the external patios have been selected in this way to allow rainwater to return to the subsoil naturally.
  • ENDEMIC GARDENING The species of plants in the gardens have been selected with species that adapt perfectly to the climate and require little water and maintenance.

  • CARETAKER’S HOUSE Located at the back of the development.
  • GREEN AREAS Akalani is built on a plot of 15,452.05 m2, of which 8,824.79 m2 will be allocated for private units and amenities, and the rest, 6,627.26 m2 will be private green areas where one can practice hiking, mountain biking, picnics, yoga, and more in a safe environment. At the entrance, there is another 6,618.00 m2 of ecological reserve for the subdivision.
  • COMMON AREA FIRE PIT in the green areas.
  • TERRACE-LOOKOUT Built-in private green areas, the terrace-lookout will enjoy the most spectacular views of the lake. Here you can relax in private.
  • OUTDOOR POOL and/or WHIRLPOOL. Each house will have its pool or whirlpool built on-site. Made with concrete of 250 kg/cm2, and finished with Venetian tile, they will have a solar heater, filters, and a recirculating pump system. Each resident can choose among different sizes and designs.
EXCLUSIVITY
  • GEOLOGICAL STUDIES soil mechanics, and structural studies carried out by six specialized engineers in the field. The retaining walls are made by MACCAFERRI, one of the five most important companies in the country for the construction of containment and stabilization walls.
  • UNDERGROUND UTILITIES for water, electricity, and networks in the urbanization.
  • INTERIOR LANDSCAPING The front gardens of all houses will have a sprinkler system and will feature lighting controlled by general services. They will be maintained by the condominium administration and cannot be modified or altered by any resident, to ensure the perfect condition of the condominium throughout the year.
  • INTERNAL REGULATIONS for use, coexistence, and care of the architectural concept, which will guarantee perfect coexistence, as well as the patrimonial value over time.
